It’s been a while since I last wrote. I’ve been busy at work, with Christmas preparations, and with the twins. I’m still unhappy with the financial decisions taken by Durham Region.

I’ve given you my initial reaction, which obviously was very negative.  I’m going to back up a bit now and talk about the larger issues in play here, which relate to changing a car-oriented culture into a transit-oriented culture, at least incrementally.

No service expansion is planned for 2008 (I suspect this means that total operating hours will remain the same, not that individual routes may not see improved service at the cost of other routes where demand is less)
