Just a quick note that DRT has been posting some schedule information here for the new routes mentioned earlier.

DRT route numbering

As you will have seen in my previous post on DRT’s new routes it looks like routes are gradually being renumbered to a common format, with:

100s Pickering
200s Ajax
300s Whitby
400s Oshawa
500s Clarington
900s Cross-community grid routes

Note that we have already seen 100 and 200-range numbers used for the evening and Sunday combined routes in Ajax and Pickering. [...]

DRT has posted more details on the 2007 route changes:

915 Taunton: Effective June 25, 2007. Monday to Friday 20 minute frequency, weeknight & weekends 30 minute frequency from Pickering GO Station via Bayly, Westney, Taunton and Simcoe to Durham College/UOIT. Integrates the former Campus 101 with increased capacity.

Budget 2006 versus 2007

I happened to be comparing the long-term DRT budget projections in the 2006 and 2007 budgets, and I noticed something interesting.
The 2006 budget forecasts the following new equipment purchases for 2008 and beyond:
2008 – 23
2009 – 20
2010 – 25
The 2007 budget forecasts the following:
2008 – 38
2009 – 36
2010 – 36
